Timothy Abigail, DPM, FACFAS

Dr. Abigail has been in private practice in Dallas since 1989. He graduated Cum Laude in biological science from the State University of New York at Brockport. He graduated in the top of his class from the Temple School of Podiatric Medicine in Philadelphia where he received several academic scholarships. He completed his surgical residency in a prestigious program at Lakeview Hospital in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Dr. Abigail has gained additional training and certification in endoscopic heel surgery, arthroscopic ankle surgery, and CO2 laser. Dr. Abigail received his board certification in 1993 by the American Board of Podiatric Surgery and the American Board of Podiatric Orthopedics. He is a fellow of the American College of Foot and Ankle Surgeons. Dr. Abigail is also board certified in wound care by Certified Wound Specialists. He has also been involved with podiatry rotation for the family residency program at Baylor Medical Center of Garland. In Clinics of Podiatric Medicine and Surgery he published a chapter on bone grafting techniques. He has been elected to serve on Board of Directors of the Texas Podiatric Medical Association. He is past president of both the Dallas County Podiatric Medical Society and Division III of the American College of Foot and Ankle Surgeons. He was chosen to serve on the Board of Directors for the American College of Foot and Ankle Surgeons. He has been involved in Podiatric Surgical Residency training in Dallas as an adjunct clinical instructor for 24 years. He serves on the Board for the Texas Podiatric Medical Foundation, which is involved in mission work.
Dr. Abigail enjoys hunting, skiing, scuba diving, and biking and hopefully watching his Dallas Stars win another Stanley Cup. Dr. Abigail is married and the proud father of his three children. D Magazine Best 2005 and 2007.


Brian De Yoe, DPM, FACFAS

A California native, Dr. De Yoe attended Pepperdine University with an academic scholarship. He received an undergraduate degree in sports medicine, a special interest of his. Dr. De Yoe then attended the California College of Podiatric Medicine in San Francisco. There, he graduated with honors as well as received the Excellence in Podiatric Medicine Scholarship. Following medical school, he completed a surgical residency at the Harris County Podiatric Surgical Residency Program in Houston. This program is widely regarded as one of the top surgical residency programs in the nation. During the last year of his residency, Dr. De Yoe served as chief resident and was then awarded a one-year fellowship in reconstructive surgery of the ankle and foot. During his fellowship, he received additional training in microsurgery, arthroscopy, and advanced surgical reconstruction of both pediatric and adult deformities. Dr. De Yoe joined the Podiatric Surgical Associates in 1998 after his training. He enjoys teaching and is a clinical instructor educating surgeons both here, and abroad. He has authored several peer reviewed journal articles and textbooks, presented original research, as well as lectured at national and international surgical conferences. Dr. De Yoe is board certified in foot surgery and specialized certification in reconstructive surgery of the rear foot and ankle. His special interests include pediatric and adult reconstructive surgery, sports medicine, and ankle ligament reconstruction.Dr. De Yoe understands how having foot and ankle problems can affect your well being. He has had two ankle surgeries himself. For this reason, he knows the importance of decisive treatment and aggressive rehabilitation. Scott Smith, DPM, FACFAS

A Texas native, Dr. Smith was born and raised in Houston. He attended Texas A&M University where he graduated with a Bachelor’s of Science Degree in BioMedical Science. Dr. Smith then attended the New York College of Podiatric Medicine where he graduated at the top of his class, Magnum Cum Laude. Dr. Smith received multiple academic scholarships and awards. He was an active member in the student government where he held such positions as Student Government President and President of the Practice Management Club.
After obtaining his doctorate in podiatry, Dr. Smith attended one of the top residency programs on the east coast, New York Methodist Hospital (member of the New York-Presbyterian Healthcare System, affiliate of Weill Cornell Medical College). Dr. Smith completed one of the most covenanted podiatric medicine and surgery three-year residencies. During his third year of residency, Dr. Smith served as Chief Resident. Through residency he completed multiple rotations such as Vascular Surgery, General Surgery, Plastic Surgery, Orthopedics, Anesthesia, Internal Medicine, Infectious Disease, Endocrinology, Emergency Medicine, Pediatric and Adult Neurology, Rheumatology, Dermatology, Pathology, Radiology, Pain Management, and Microbiology Laboratory.
Dr. Smith is married and blessed with two sons and one daughter. Dr. Smith enjoys spending his free time with family, hunting, fishing, snorkeling, and traveling with his wife.


Rachna Tiwari, DPM

Born and brought up in Northern India, Dr. Tiwari emigrated to the United States in 1997. After competing her BS in Biology from UC Irvine, with an honorary scholarship for her research project, she moved to Ohio for her medical school. She did her intern year at a hospital in New York, and then moved to Baltimore to finish her residency. She worked at ICLL (International Center of Limb Lengthening ) for two years and was trained under some of the finest doctors. She got extensive training as a chief resident in her third year in forefoot and rearfoot reconstructive surgery, diabetic limb salvage, diabetic ulcers and common foot and ankle problems. She is in the process of getting her certifications.

Dr. Tiwari has other interests besides podiatry in music, painting, and spending time with her husband and twin little ones, Saanvi and Saatvik.
